How to convert an image
- Click the format you want: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or ICO. You can switch at any time and every image is converted again.
- Drop images anywhere on the page, paste one with Ctrl+V, or click to choose files. Each one is converted right away.
- For JPG and WebP, pick Smallest, Balanced or High quality, or drag the quality slider — JPG starts at High quality (92), lossy WebP at Balanced (80) — and check the result with the before/after slider. Transparent areas can stay transparent or get a background color.
- Click Download under the preview: one image downloads as it is, several come as one ZIP, and each file has its own Download in the results. Apply, beside Download, swaps the image in the list for the converted file (Undo swaps it back), so the other image tools carry on in the new format.

Is it private?
Yes. Images are decoded and encoded in your browser with WebAssembly and never uploaded. Converted files don't carry EXIF details such as the camera, the date or the GPS location; color profiles such as Display P3 are kept in JPG, PNG and WebP.
Frequently asked questions
Does converting PNG to JPG remove transparency?
Yes. JPG and BMP can't store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a background color: white unless you pick another. To keep transparency, convert to PNG, WebP or ICO; GIF keeps it too, but each pixel is either fully transparent or fully opaque.
Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG?
Yes, in Safari on a Mac, iPhone or iPad, which can decode HEIC. Chrome, Edge and Firefox can't, and the tool says so; there, export the photo as JPG from the Photos app, or set the iPhone camera to Most Compatible to take JPG photos.
Do my images stay after I leave?
Yes, in this browser only, until you remove them; nothing is uploaded. The images you add here are in the list of every image tool, even after a reload, and one you converted and applied goes on in its new format, named like photo.webp. Remove an image with its ×, or all of them with Remove all, to delete it from this browser.
Why is the converted file larger than the original?
Because the pixels are encoded again in the new format. A photo saved as PNG or lossless WebP keeps every pixel and is often several times larger, and a JPG converted to JPG is only compressed a second time. The tool tells you when this happens; to make an image smaller in its own format, use Compress.
Can I convert SVG to PNG or JPG?
Yes. Your browser draws the SVG at its own size, but at least 1024 px on the long side, so small icons come out sharp, and it is then converted like any other image. An SVG that embeds web content (foreignObject) can be blocked by the browser; export it as PNG from your editor instead.
