How to rotate or flip an image
- Drop images anywhere on the page, paste one with Ctrl+V, or click to choose files. The sample image lets you try it without a file.
- Click Left 90°, Right 90°, Flip horizontal or Flip vertical (or press L, R, H or V). With several images the change goes to all of them; to fix just one, use the small rotate buttons under its thumbnail or turn off “All images at once”.
- To straighten a tilted photo, drag along the horizon in the preview, or drag the Straighten slider and fine-tune it with − and +; straightening applies to the selected image only. Crop to fit removes the empty corners; Fill keeps the whole picture and colors them instead.
- Click Download under the preview, or Download all (ZIP) for every image at once. Apply, right beside it, puts the turned pictures in the list in place of the old ones (Undo puts them back), ready for Crop or any other image tool.

Is it private?
Yes. The images are decoded and rotated on your device, in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere. A rotated or flipped image keeps its color profile but not EXIF details such as the camera, the date or the GPS location, and an image you leave unchanged is saved exactly as it was.
Frequently asked questions
Does rotating a photo reduce its quality?
Not for quarter turns and flips of PNG, GIF, BMP and lossless WebP files: the pixels are moved, never changed (a 16-bit PNG is saved with 8 bits per channel). A JPG has to be saved again after any change, so it is saved at the quality it had before (at most 92): the file stays about the same size and the difference is very hard to see. Lossy WebP is saved at quality 92.
How do I mirror a selfie or flip an image?
Click Flip horizontal (or press H) to mirror the picture left to right, as selfie cameras often need; Flip vertical (V) turns it upside down like a reflection in water. Click again to undo the flip.
Why does my photo look sideways on some websites but upright on my phone?
Because the phone stored it sideways with an orientation tag (EXIF) that tells apps to turn it, and some websites ignore the tag. This tool shows the photo the way your phone does and saves it with upright pixels and no tag, even if you don't turn it, so the saved file looks the same everywhere.
What happens to the corners when I straighten a photo?
You choose. Turning a picture by a few degrees leaves empty triangles in the corners: Crop to fit keeps the largest rectangle without them, in the photo's own aspect ratio (turn off Keep aspect ratio for the largest area), and Fill keeps the whole picture and fills the corners with white, black, any color, or transparency in PNG and WebP.
Do my images stay after I leave?
Yes, in this browser only, until you remove them; nothing is uploaded. Click Apply and the turned picture replaces the one in the list, so Crop or Convert opens it the right way up, and its own turn starts again from 0°. Undo right after, or Revert to original on its thumbnail, brings the old picture back; × or Remove all deletes images from this browser.
